Bangkok

On my way back to Norway, moving back there from Australia, I decided to drop by Bangkok in Thailand on my way back, and took a few days off there to explore and see the place. I was lucky enough to meet locals who showed me around what Bangkok had to offer. I honestly got a bit mixed reactions of Bangkok and it has without any doubt been the most ghetto place I have ever been to so far. Very strong contrasts between the very rich and the very poor.

Bangkok

The street pretty much outside the hotel where I stayed and very ghetto look. Shabby resturants, street food and one of the most messy cable networks I’ve ever seen.

The cables are everywhere!

Mopends are one of the fastest way of getting through the traffic jams in Bangkok, which happens all the time.

Taken outside a Seven Eleven. A lot of street food sellers and general sellers are attracted to the Seven Elevens since they get a lot of customers and they almost create a blockade of sales in front of their opening.

Palle was one of the girls I met in Bangkok, and the one I hung out with the most. She was kind enough to show me around most of the place. Cheers!

One of my saddest sights in Bangkok, a little girl begging for money and all the people just walking past her. Made me feel completely horrible. I gave her enough money for food and then took this photo to remember the moment.

On their “public transport boat” going up the river. A quite unique experience.

At this market on the street I saw them selling mobile phones from the early 90s and Playstation 1. A good examples of the extreme poverty in parts of Bangkok.

The view from on top of a BTS station, which is their monorail and the easiest way to get around and avoiding the traffic jams, as long as the BTS reaches the location you’re going to.

The view of the park at Mo Chit.

At the JJ market on a Saturday, being completely packed and the inside stalls just go on forever with narrow hallways and mini stores just filled over the top with items and clothing for sale. And cheap prices.

Hola was the other girl I met up with in Bangkok, and her friend Joom in the background. This was taken on my very last night in Bangkok, having a few drinks to end my trip in Bangkok and me ending up still being intoxicated for the flight which was just a few hours later, and that concluded my trip to Thailand.
