Lumberjack girl

Trying out something new! Believe it or not, but my model Aud is actually educated as a lumberjack, no joke! I like to show some of the personality to the model in the shoot, to make it more natural for them, instead of putting them into a situation which they either find uncomfortable or can’t relate to at all. Usually just adding some of their twist into the shoot… but this time we decided to do a shoot purely dedicated to her “work”. Not to mention, that’s the last thing you’d expect a model to be educated as.

Messy Backyard

Another of my all time favorite shoots! I was almost on a photo-spree at having shoots in run down and broken locations and back alley. This one we actually just had in someone’s front and backyard. We didn’t really ask for permission to take the photos, but looking at the location I don’t think it would have been the best to ask either, didn’t look like anybody had left their house for many months anyways. Gorgeous model, Hanne, did a good job as well. Youngest model I’ve ever worked with also, but still a very good experience overall.

Or maybe I’m just getting sentimental from being in Australia.

Off the path

Back in early 2009 I was working A LOT with the same models over and over again, which resulted in a bit too many photos being “similar” in the way that it always displayed the same girl/s. So I reached out to meet new models and expand my horizon in photography. Aud was one of the models I got for a shoot to mix things up. Our first shoot together ended up quite good, found a nice back alley right by my University. It’s one of those random back alleys that doesn’t really make sense, just a lot of mess, grass and a door at the end of the alley.
